Picture Style Editor Not Working

I went back on my desktop and clicked on computer, libraries, pictures, that folder, and my pictures were there. But not on Picture Style Editor. As i looked for the picture i wanted in the program, it said 'files of type: CR2, CRW, TIF,TIFF' Does that have anything to do with it because all my pics are JPEG or whatever. Windows Photo Viewer shows color managed images but upon opening full screen will display in the monitor profile. Those of us using wide gamut screens require this functionality.

I also like to have my proofing and editing applications as icons or in the start menu. I have not been able to find the application to do so. My hunt continues. I wish MS would understand many of us use the existing tools.
